NLive Radio Announces Open Day as part of Community Radio Week

NLive Radio, Northampton’s local radio station, is opening its doors to the public on Saturday 7 February, inviting the community to step inside the studio, meet the people behind the microphones, and discover how local radio is made.

The open day runs from 10am to 3pm and forms part of the UK Community Radio Network’s Community Radio Week, a nationwide celebration highlighting the vital role community radio plays across the country.

Visitors will have the opportunity to:

  • Tour the NLive Radio studios
  • Meet volunteers, presenters, and members of the production team
  • Learn how programmes are created and broadcast
  • Explore opportunities to get involved; on air, behind the scenes, or through station support roles

Rebecca Steers, Station Manager at NLive Radio, said:

“Community radio is powered by passionate local people, and this open day is a fantastic chance for anyone curious about radio—or about NLive itself—to come and see what we do. Whether you want to volunteer, present a show, support community projects, or simply meet the team, you’ll be very welcome.”

NLive Radio delivers local news, music, conversation, and community-focused content for Northampton.

The open day aims to inspire new volunteers, celebrate local achievements, and strengthen the relationship between the station and the people it serves.
