The 2025 NLive Radio Christmas Present Appeal

This year, the present appeal is back, bigger and better, with more places to donate your presents and the aim of supporting more people this Christmas with a present.

We're asking the people and businesses of Northampton to donate presents to families and older people in need this Christmas, so everyone can have a Christmas present this year.

You can drop off presents at the locations below (No food or used toys). We are working with community partners to distribute the presents across the town to those in need.

We're running this from the beginning of November until the middle of December to allow us time to give the presents to our community partners so they can distribute them.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Doddridge Centre

The Doddridge Centre is based in Northampton and, as well as being a drop-off location, they're a community partner this year and are looking for all sorts of gifts to share with their regular users.

Baby Basics Northampton

Baby Basics works with local health visitors, midwives, family workers, children's centres and other agencies. Starter packs filled with essential items for a newborn and their mum are distributed to those most in need.

The Spring Charity 

The Spring Charity provides community services for local families and supports vulnerable families with children aged 0-5 years in the Northampton town area.

Suitable gifts are for babies, toddlers, and school-aged children up to 11 years of age. 

Hope Centre

The Hope Centre is a homeless charity based in Northampton and helps people experiencing homelessness and issues relating to hardship, including addiction, mental health and well-being.

Suitable gifts would be games and day items.

Growing Together

Growing Together Northampton is a vibrant community organisation dedicated to improving wellbeing, increasing resilience and supporting community connection among local families and individuals. Through its community gardens, wellbeing programmes, and family support initiatives, Growing Together provides safe, welcoming spaces where people can learn new skills, build friendships, and regain confidence. For many of the families it supports, the Christmas period can be a challenging time, and receiving donated Christmas presents brings more than just gifts — it brings hope, dignity, and a sense of belonging. Each present shared through Growing Together will help lift spirits, ease financial pressure, and remind local people that their community truly cares. These donations don't just brighten Christmas morning; they strengthen the bonds that hold Northampton's community together year-round.
